I, T, Y with cable cords for resistance. Can be done in sitting.
1. Start by facing the cable machine while gripping the opposite cable in each hand. The first exercise demonstrates “T”, with your thumbs toward the ceiling. Tuck in your shoulder blades and open up your arms so that they are not crossed and each arm is to each side.
2. The second exercise is performed with the cables adjusted to the top of the machine. Opposite cables are once again grabbed, and you are pulling each arm to each respective hip.
3. The final exercise is performed with the cables adjusted to the bottom portion of the machine. Once again, opposite handles are grabbed and the patient lift both arms up to make a “Y.”

Pull Ups. Can be done out of chair.
Grasp the bar with an overhand grip with your hands just wider than shoulder-width apart. Let your body hang straight down with your arms fully extended. Pull up and squeeze your lats until your chin is over the bar, before lowering slowly to the start position without swinging.
